Updating your software.
It’s a good idea to update your phone’s software regularly. Updating your software gives you new features, keeps your phone running smoothly and can fix a lot of common problems. It should always be one of the first things you do if you’re having problems with your phone.
Before you can update your phone, make sure your battery is fully charged. You should also make sure that you've backed up your personal data, like the contacts that are stored on your phone.
Software updates need to be approved by mobile networks before your phone will allow you to update your software. If you're using a phone that you didn't get from us, an update may not be available at the same time as it would be for a phone that came from Three.
Your phone will automatically let you know if there's a new update. You can then download and install the software update to your phone. If you've switched this feature off then you should search for updates manually. Here's how:
On the homescreen, tap Apps
Tap About device
Tap Download updates manually
Your phone will now check for updates.
Note: Checking and downloading software updates will use data included in your plan. If you have a data limit, check your My3 account to make sure you have enough data left.
Then to update your software:
When an Install software message appears on your screen, tap Install now
The software on your phone will now have been updated.
