Transfer your contacts.

It's easiest to transfer your contacts and data from your old phone to your Samsung Galaxy phone using Smart Switch.

The Smart Switch app lets you transfer an iCloud backup from your iPhone. It also lets you transfer your data from an Android phone without using a computer.

If you have an iPhone backed up to iTunes, a BlackBerry or Nokia phone, click here.

For all other phones, click here.

If your iPhone is backed up with iCloud or it's an Android phone:

  1. Download and install the Samsung Smart Switch app from Play Store on your new phone. If your old phone is Android, download it on that one too

  2. Tap Next

  3. Tap I agree then Confirm

  4. Tap Skip

  5. If you have an iPhone and it's backed up to iCloud, tap Import from iCloud. Sign in using your Apple ID and follow the onscreen instructions. If you don't have your iPhone backed up to iCloud, you can still transfer your content using iTunes on your computer. If your old phone is an Android phone, tap Android to Galaxy

  6. You'll need to click Android to Galaxy on your old Android phone

  7. Tap OK

  8. Choose the content you'd like to transfer. You can tick Select all if you want to move all your data. If your contacts are saved to your Google account, you'll need to transfer them in a different way. Tap Transfer

  9. On your new phone, tap OK to confirm the connection

  10. Your content will start to transfer to your new phone

  11. Once it's complete, tap Done on both phones
