Personal Hotspot on your phone.
Personal Hotspot lets you use your phone’s data to set up a Wi-Fi connection. You can then connect other devices like laptops, tablets and game consoles to that connection so they can access the internet. Personal Hotspot is also called tethering.
Using Personal Hotspot on Pay Monthly
All our new Pay Monthly phone and SIM-only plans include Personal Hotspot. If you have a plan with a limited amount of data, Personal Hotspot usage will be taken from your monthly data allowance.
If you have Unlimited data, you can use your phone as a Personal Hotspot to your heart’s content. No need to worry about hefty bills, it’s all covered by your Unlimited data plan.
Using Personal Hotspot on Pay As You Go
Personal Hotspot is available on Pay As You Go using a data Add-on or by converting your cash to credit at the unbeatable rate of 1p/MB. See our Pay As You Go terms and conditions for more information.
Problems using Personal Hotspot
Sometimes we need to send you software updates to keep Personal Hotspot working properly. If your Personal Hotspot service seems to stop working, try updating your software to see if there's a later software version that will start it working again. Select your phone to find out how to update your software.
If you're having problems accessing the internet on your phone after seeing a warning message about Personal Hotspot, just turn your phone off and back on again. If this doesn’t fix the issue, Contact Us and we’ll help.
