If you have all-you-can-eat data included in your plan or you have an All-in-One 25 Add-on on Pay As You Go, you don't need to worry about being charged for using the internet unless you go abroad.

You also don't need to worry about going over your allowance accidentally if you're on one of our new plans with a limited data allowance. Once you've used up your monthly allowance, you won't be able to use the internet without buying an Add-on or changing your price plan. This way you won't spend more on data than you intended to.

Add-ons give you an extra data allowance that lasts until your monthly data allowance is refreshed. You can buy an Add-on in My3 – just log in and select Buy Add-on. If you need a bigger data allowance on a long-term basis, it's well worth considering changing your price plan, which you can also do by logging in to My3 and selecting Change Price Plan.

This way you won't spend more on data than you want to. We'll send you text messages when you've used up 80% and 100% of your data allowance, so you should never run out unexpectedly. You'll then have the option to buy an Add-on or change price plan if it's available on your plan.

If you're on another, older monthly plan or Pay As You Go tariff you'll need to check our price guide to see what you'll be charged for going over your monthly data allowance. Your data allowance will be reset on your bill date every month. To keep track of how much you're using, log in to your My3 account by entering your phone number and password. If you're using your My3 account on your phone, you'll need to select Check allowance now.

If you're worried about data charges, we recommend that you get all-you-can-eat data or an Internet Add-on if one is available on your plan.

Out of Bundle charges.

As of 18 June, our prices for anything that’s not included in your allowance have changed. The table below details the new pricing for any out of bundle expenses, which includes minutes that are outside of or over your allowance, and international calls. International call charges apply when calling another country from the UK, and are separate from Go Roam charges.

Data charges abroad.

If you use data on your smartphone when you're abroad, you'll usually be charged standard roaming rates unless you're using data in one of our Go Roam destinations or within the EU/EEA if on an Essential plan.

Smartphones are permanently connected to the internet so you could use data without realising it. If you want to manage these settings by either switching them on or off, you'll need to change your phone's settings. You can find out how to do this here. If you switch data roaming off you won't need to worry about using data without you knowing.

Unless you’re in a Go Roam in Europe or Go Roam Around the World destination using data abroad will be excluded from any inclusive allowances or Add-ons you have, so you will be charged for using it. In Go Roam Around the World destinations, you can use up to 12GB of data from your available allowance per month if you’re a Pay Monthly or Pay As You Go customer. In Go Roam in Europe destinations, you can use up to 13GB of data from your allowance per month if you’re a Pay Monthly customer or 12GB if you’re on Pay As You Go. If you go over this limit, you’ll be charged 0.50p/MB unless you’re roaming in the following countries, in which case it’ll be 0.41p/MB: Aland Islands, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion, Norway, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Iceland, Liechtenstein. But don’t worry, we’ll text you in advance if it looks like you’re approaching the limit.

We don't think you should spend more than you want to when using the internet on your device when you're abroad. So to help manage your costs, we've set a worldwide data roaming limit of £42.50 per month.

Please be aware that these limits aren’t applicable to Mobile Broadband accounts. You can keep an eye on your Mobile Broadband usage by checking My3.
