About the Data Passport.
The Data Passport gives you the freedom to use the mobile internet as you like for £5 a day in the UK and 78 destinations worldwide. You can search, tweet, upload, browse, email and stream audio and video as much as you like until midnight (UK time), and our standard TrafficSense™ policies won’t apply. Find out how to buy the Data Passport here.
- Is the Data Passport right for me?
If you use a lot of data, or just want the best internet experience, the Data Passport was designed for you. It provides an additional unlimited data allowance for a calendar day to be used in the UK and in 78 destinations around the world, allowing you to use your device as a Personal Hotspot, stream video or audio at unrestricted speeds, and connect to Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
The Data Passport is only available to purchase if you've got a Pay Monthly contract (including if you’re on a SIM only plan) and you can only use it in certain countries. You can find a list of destinations where you can use the Data Passport below:
Aland Islands, Austria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Madeira, Malta, Malaysia, Martinique, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Myanmar, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Réunion, Romania, Russian Federation, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, US Virgin Islands, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA, Vatican City.
Before your Data Passport expires, we’ll send you a text giving you the option to buy another Passport for the following day. If you’re roaming in a destination where you have Feel At Home, any continued data use will come out of your available inclusive data allowance but this may be subject to traffic management measures. Whether you choose to use your inclusive data allowance at no extra cost with Feel At Home, continue roaming at our standard roaming charges or buy a Data Passport, this choice is yours.
If you have an active Data Passport and you travel to a destination where the pass isn’t valid, you’ll be charged for data at our standard roaming rates for that destination. We’ll text you what these charges are on your arrival in that country. To help control your costs, you can turn off data roaming on your phone. Find out how here.
If you’re having trouble buying the Data Passport, you can contact us and we’ll be happy to help. If calling from abroad, the call will be charged at our standard roaming rates unless you’re calling from one of our Feel At Home destinations in which case it will come out of your standard allowance.
*Feel at Home in Europe is available to all of our customers while Feel At Home Around the World is also available to our Advanced plan and mobile broadband customers.
- If you’re on an Essential Plan, you can use your plan at no extra charge in our Feel At Home in Europe destinations and any data used will come out of your allowance. Any usage outside of a Feel At Home in Europe destination will be charged at standard roaming rates – these may be up to £6 per MB depending on location, unless you purchase a daily Data Passport. If you do buy a Data Passport in destinations outside the EU, your data won't be blocked at midnight UK time as normal. This means that unless you then buy another Data Passport, any data use will come out of any allowances you have, or will be charged at our lower roaming rates. Find out more on our about Feel At Home support page or on our main Feel At Home page.
- If you’re on an Advanced Plan, you can use your plan at no extra charge in all 60 Feel At Home destinations, and any data used will come out of your allowance. This means that unless you then buy another Data Passport, any data use will come out of any allowances you have, or will be charged at our lower roaming rates.
