Problems with your phone

  • If you're having a problem with your iPhone:

    1. Tap Settings, then slide Airplane Mode to On. Wait 15 seconds, then switch Airplane Mode to Off again. This can help with network connection problems.
    2. Turn your iPhone off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on again. Switching your iPhone off and on again can fix a lot of common problems.
    3. If you haven't already, check that you have the latest software version on your iPhone. If there's an update available, you should update to the latest version of iOS. Find out how to check and update your iPhone's software.
    4. Tap Settings, General, Reset, then Reset Network Settings. This can fix problems with your iPhone's network settings.
Note: This will erase all stored Wi-Fi passwords.
    5. Back up your iPhone's content to your iTunes on a computer or Mac if you haven't already, then reset your phone's settings. To do this, go to Settings, General, Reset, then Erase All Content and Settings.  If you're asked for a restrictions passcode, this will be 0000 unless you've changed it yourself at some point. You may also be asked to enter your own passcode before this. This will be the passcode you enter to unlock your iPhone.
  • If you're having a problem with one of our services, like calling, texting or browsing the internet, these simple steps may fix it for you:
    1. Log into your My3 account and check you have enough available allowance to do what you're trying to do.  You can log into My3 using our free Three App on your iPhone, or by going to on a computer.
    2. Make sure that you've got signal. You'll need to have at least one bar of signal strength. If you don't have this, try moving to another location, then check for a better signal.
    3. Make sure that you have the latest carrier settings on your iPhone. To do this, from your iPhone's homescreen tap Settings, General, then About. Your iPhone should automatically update if necessary.
    4. If you're having problems with calls or texts, make sure you've saved the other person's number in your phone correctly.
    5. If you're having problems with texts or iMessages, switch iMessage off and then on again. To do this, tap Settings, Messages, then iMessage. You'll also be able to turn on picture and video (MMS) messaging from this screen.

If none of these steps have helped you, pick your problem from the options below.
