Setting up your phone.

When you turn on your new Samsung Galaxy phone for the first time, you'll be taken through a number of steps to help get you started:

  1. Choose your language and tap Start

  2. You'll be asked if you want to connect to a Wi-Fi network. You can skip this step by tapping Next

  3. You'll be asked to accept the terms and conditions. Tick the box then tap Next

  4. You'll need a Google account to download apps from Google Play. If you have an account, tap Yes and enter your email address and password. If you don't have a Google account, tap No

  5. To set up a Google account, tap Get an account and follow the onscreen instructions.You can skip this step by tapping Not now

  6. If you want to use Google's location service, tap Next. You can always change these settings at a later date

  7. Some apps like to personalise your experience by using your name. Enter your name and tap the arrow

  8. You'll be asked if you want to set up a Samsung account. A Samsung account will help you find your phone if it's lost or stolen. It'll also help you if you forget your screen lock. You can skip this step by tapping Next

  9. If you skip, you'll need to tap Skip again

  10. Dropbox can store your files like pictures and videos remotely, so you can access it on a computer. You can skip this step by tapping Skip

  11. To begin using your phone, tap Finish

    Your phone is now ready to use.
