Connecting to the internet.
The steps below are based on using the latest software. If the screenshots or steps look different to you, you should update your software, to keep your phone working smoothly and securely.
There are two ways for you to connect to the internet on your iPhone. You can connect either using our network or using Wi-Fi.
If you bought your iPhone from us, you shouldn't need to do anything to use our network to connect to the internet. When you activated your iPhone, it'll have automatically updated your settings to let you access the internet.
But if you didn't buy your iPhone from us, you might need to update your settings.
To update your settings:
After about 15 seconds, a Carrier Settings Update box may appear. If it does, tap Update
You can also connect to the internet using Wi-Fi if you have a Wi-Fi connection at home or work.
To connect to Wi-Fi:
Switch Wi-Fi on
Available Wi-Fi networks will appear under Choose a Network...
Tap on the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to
Enter the wireless password and tap Join
You should now be connected to the internet.
