Apple iPhone 6 support.

Setting a passcode lock.

The steps below are based on using the latest software. If the screenshots or steps look different to you, you should update your software, to keep your phone working smoothly and securely.

To set a passcode lock:

  1. Tap Settings

  2. Tap Passcode

  3. Before you set up a passcode, you can choose to set a four digit code by leaving the Simple Passcode option switched on. If you switch this off you can enter a longer password. To set up a passcode, tap Turn Passcode On

  4. You'll be asked to create a passcode lock and enter it twice. If you've chosen to use a longer password, you'll need to tap return before you can re-enter it

  5. You can choose how long it takes for your iPhone to lock automatically by tapping Require Passcode and selecting how long you'd like

Your iPhone will now lock when you're not using it.
