Apple iPad Air 2 support.

Updating your software.

It’s a good idea to update your iPad’s software regularly. Updating your software gives you new features, keeps your iPad running smoothly and can fix a lot of common problems. It should always be one of the first things you do if you’re having problems with your iPad.

The iOS download may be slow during the first few days after it's released because lots of people around the world are trying to update their iPad or iPhone at the same time.

You'll need to connect to Wi-Fi to update your software. If you don't have a Wi-Fi connection available, you can update your software by connecting to iTunes.

To install an update, your iPad will need to have at least 50% of battery remaining. If you have less than 50%, you'll need to connect your iPad to a power source to continue.

You can update your iPad to the latest version of iOS by following these steps:

  1. On the homescreen, tap Settings

  2. Tap General

  3. Tap Software Update

  4. If your iPad has the latest software, you'll see the message: Your Software is up to date. If there's an update available just tap Download and Install

The software on your iPad will now be updated to the latest version.
