Activating your iPhone.

Before you can use your iPhone, you'll need to insert your SIM. To activate the iPhone, you'll need to connect to our network or Wi-Fi. If you don't have a network or Wi-Fi connection, click here to complete your iPhone activation using iTunes.

To activate your iPhone:


  1. Slide your finger across the screen

  2. Tap your chosen language

  3. Tap your country

  4. If you have Mobile Network, you can choose Use Mobile Connection to activate your phone. Or, if Wi-Fi is available, you can choose a network. You'll need to enter the security key when asked. If you don't have a Mobile or Wi-Fi connection, click here to complete your iPhone activation using iTunes

  5. Lots of apps and features on your iPhone need Location Services to work. We recommend that you Enable Location Services. Note: Location Services will use data from your plan

  6. You'll be asked if you want to set up a passcode lock. Enter a code you'd like to use or tap Passcode Options

  7. You can choose a different type of passcode or choose Don't Add Passcode to skip it

  8. You'll be asked if you want to restore your data from a backup, set up as a new phone or move your data from your old Android phone. For more information on transferring your data, click here

  9. If you already have an active iTunes account, you should use this as your Apple ID. If not, you can create an Apple ID by following the onscreen instructions

  10. You might be asked to add extra security to your Apple ID. You can choose Not Now if you don't want to add security questions. Tap Next

  11. To accept the Terms and Conditions, tap Agree

  12. You'll be asked to tap Agree again

  13. If you'd like to use the iPhone's voice assistant, tap Set Up Siri. If you want to skip it, tap Turn On Siri Later

  14. Apple would like to gather information on how you use your phone to improve services. Choose whether you'd like to send them this information

  15. iPhone 7 has a new home button. Tap Get Started and follow the instructions to set it up, or select Customise Later in Settings

  16. You'll be asked how you want to view your phone. You can choose to make the icons and text bigger or keep them at the standard size

  17. Tap Get Started
