Samsung Galaxy S7 support.

Transfer your contacts & data.

It's easiest to transfer your contacts and data from your old phone to your Samsung Galaxy phone using Smart Switch.

The Smart Switch app lets you transfer an iCloud backup from your iPhone. It also lets you transfer your data from an Android phone without using a computer.

If you have an iPhone backed up to iTunes or any other phone, click here.

If your iPhone is backed up with iCloud or it's an Android or BlackBerry phone, you'll need to download the Samsung Smart Switch app from the App or Play Store. Once you've done this:

  1. On the homescreen, tap Apps

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap Backup and reset

  4. Tap Open Smart Switch

  5. Choose whether your phone is an iOS, Android or BlackBerry device and tap Start

  6. If you have an iPhone, tap iOS Device. Sign in using your Apple ID and follow the onscreen instructions. If you don't have your iPhone backed up to iCloud, you can still transfer your content using iTunes on your computer

  7. You'll need to choose Send on your old phone and Receive on your new one

  8. On your old phone, choose the content you'd like to transfer. If your contacts are saved to your Google account, you'll need to transfer them in a different way. Tap Send

On your new phone, tap Receive to confirm the connection

  9. Your content will start to transfer to your new phone

  10. Once it's complete, tap Close app on both phones
