Samsung Galaxy S7 support.

Using your phone as a Personal Hotspot.

The Wi-Fi hotspot feature lets you connect up to 10 other Wi-Fi enabled devices to the internet using your phone (also known as tethering). Before using your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, you should check whether your contract or internet Add-on includes tethering. You can find out more information about tethering on your phone.

If no devices are connected to your Wi-Fi hotspot, it'll automatically turn itself off after 20 minutes. We recommend switching the Wi-Fi hotspot feature off if you're not using it, to save your battery.

To use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot:

  1. On the homescreen, tap Apps

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap Mobile hotspot and tethering

  4. Tap on Mobile hotspot

  5. Switch Mobile hotspot on

  6. You'll see instructions on how to connect from other devices, including the password you'll need to enter into your other device

  7. If you want to change your password, tap on it and type the password you want to use

You should now be able to connect to the internet.
