It’s a good idea to update your phone’s software regularly. Updating your software gives you new features, keeps your phone running smoothly and can fix a lot of common problems. It should always be one of the first things you do if you’re having problems with your phone.
When you update your BlackBerry, make sure that your computer is connected to the internet and that you have BlackBerry Desktop Software installed. Check that you've backed up your BlackBerry to your computer so you don't lose any important information on your phone.
Software updates need to be approved by mobile networks before your phone will allow you to update your software. If you're using a phone that you didn't get from us, an update may not be available at the same time as it would be for a phone that came from Three.
To update your software:
Note: It can take up to 30 minutes for a BlackBerry update to complete. Don't disconnect your BlackBerry from your computer until the update has finished.
If you get a message from BlackBerry during the upgrade process, check the do not ask me again box to continue downloading the update.
The software on your phone will now be updated.
