If you've forgotten how to unlock your screen, you'll have five attempts to try and do so. If this fails, you can unlock your phone using these steps:

1. After five attempts you'll be asked to wait for 30 seconds, tap OK





2. If your phone display goes off, tap the power button and unlock your screen
3. Tap Forgot pattern?





4. Enter the username and password of your Google account, tap Sign in





5. You'll be asked to create a new screen unlock pattern. If you don't want one, tap Cancel

Your screen will now be unlocked.

Note: You need to have a Google account on your phone for these steps to work. If you haven't set up a Google account, you'll need to reset your phone. The reset will clear all the data stored on your phone, data that’s stored on your SIM is safe.

To reset your phone:

1. Turn your phone off.
2. Hold the volume down key
3. Turn your phone on
4. Using the volume down key, highlight Factory reset and press the power key to select
   
5. Press the power key

The reset will now be complete.
