Set up BlackBerry Internet Service.
Set up BlackBerry Internet Service.

To use the internet, email and BlackBerry Messenger on your BlackBerry you'll need to set up Blackberry Internet Service. It costs £5 and lasts up to 30 days.

If you have a contract with us this should already be set up on your BlackBerry. It'll show in your My3 account as Add BlackBerry. If you can't see this, you can buy it in your My3 account by going to Buy Add-ons and selecting Add BlackBerry.

Note: If you're on the Essential Internet Plan, once you have reached your data allowance within your plan you'll need to buy more data to continue using BlackBerry Internet Services. You can do this in your My3 account.

If you're on Pay As You Go and you've activated your SIM and topped up, you'll need to set up BlackBerry Internet Service. Here's how:

  1. Text Start to 38001
  2. £5 will automatically be taken from your credit. We'll text you to confirm that £5 has been taken from your credit and that your BlackBerry Internet Service has been set up
  3. Turn your BlackBerry off and on again

If the internet still doesn't work you may not have registered your BlackBerry Internet Service. If you don't see a message asking you to register when you turn on your phone again, or you skip this part and decide to register later, follow these steps:

  1. From the Menu, select the options icon

  2. Select Device

  3. Select Advanced System Settings

  4. Select Host Routing Table

  5. Select the BlackBerry icon followed by Register Now

  6. Select OK

You’ll be able to start browsing the internet when you see the BlackBerry icon next to the signal bar at the top right of your screen.

To start browsing the internet once you’ve set up BlackBerry Internet Service, select this browser icon
