There are two ways for you to connect to the internet on your phone. You can connect by using our 3G network or by using Wi-Fi.
If your phone came directly from Three, you shouldn't need to do anything to use our 3G network to connect to the internet. All our phones come with the internet already installed and ready to use. If you're having trouble, you'll need to make sure that our network is enabled and the internet settings are correct. Also, if you're not using Wi-Fi you should switch it off to avoid any connection issues and save your battery.
If you're using a non-Three phone, you'll need to update your internet settings.
Find out how to:
Make sure you can connect through our 3G network.
Connect to Wi-Fi.
Check your internet settings.
From the homescreen, tap and hold the notification bar at the top and slide your finger down
Hold down on an icon at the top and swipe your finger left. This will reveal other icons
Make sure that the box for Mobile data is lit up
You can also connect to the internet using Wi-Fi if you have a Wi-Fi connection at home or work.
Tap Wi-Fi to switch it on
Available networks will be displayed. Tap on the network you want to connect to
Enter the wireless password and tap Connect
If you're using a non-Three phone or having issues connecting to the internet using our 3G network, you should check your internet settings.
From the homescreen, tap Apps
Tap More settings
Tap Mobile networks
Tap Access Point Names
Tap 3 and make sure the settings are:
Name: 3 APN: three.co.ukUsername: NonePassword: NoneMMSC: http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmscMMS proxy: 8799APN type: Default
If you can't see 3, tap Menu then New APN and enter the details above
You should now be connected to the internet.
