Transfer your music & photos.

To transfer your music and photos to and from your Samsung Galaxy S III you'll need to have Samsung Kies software installed on your computer. You can get this from Samsung's website.

To transfer music and photos from your computer to your phone:


  1. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable and open Samsung Kies

  2. Once Samsung Kies has recognised your phone, choose the type of file you'd like to transfer

  3. If you can't see the menu above, you may need to switch to Normal Mode on Samsung Kies. Select View, Switch Mode then Normal Mode

  4. Click on + to add music to your phone

  5. You'll need to navigate to the folder that your music is stored in. This is often in the My Music folder, which sits in My Documents. Click on the music file you want to transfer. If you want to select multiple files, hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard and click on any other files you want to select too. Click Open

  6. Depending on the number and size of files you've selected, it may take a few minutes to transfer them. Once it's finished, you'll see the files listed

    Your files will now be saved onto your phone.


To transfer music or photos from your phone to your computer:


  1. In Samsung Kies, choose the type of file you'd like to transfer to your computer

  2. If you can't see the menu above, you may need to switch to Normal Mode on Samsung Kies. Select View, Switch Mode then Normal Mode

  3. Choose the files you'd like to transfer by ticking the boxes next to them, then click the Save icon at the top

  4. Choose where you'd like to save the files. Click OK

    Your files will now be saved onto your computer.
