Create an Apple ID.

The steps below are based on using the latest software. If the screenshots or steps look different to you, you should update your software, to keep your phone working smoothly and securely.

You'll need to set up an Apple ID if you want to download apps for your iPhone. If you want to buy apps, you'll also need to register a credit or debit card to your Apple ID.

  1. Tap Settings

  2. Tap iTunes & App Store

  3. You can enter the Apple ID you already have and tap Sign In. If you don't have one, tap Don’t have an Apple ID or forgot it and follow the onscreen instructions.

    Your Apple ID will now be set up. You can find out more about your Apple ID through Apple's website.
